For the fifth year in a row an ACATEC program has been chosen to present at the annual state Career and Technical Education (CTE) Showcase in Lansing. A state-wide committee chooses quality programs that best represent CTE. There were well over a hundred applicants for the 13 spots available this year and ACATEC grabbed two of them. The Criminal Justice program and the Veterinary Tech program will present at the Showcase in April.
“To go to the Showcase for a fifth year in a row is amazing,” said Bill Baker, Criminal Justice instructor. “Most schools don’t even go two years in a row.”
“Hardly ever are two programs from one tech center selected,” said Vet Tech instructor Cindy Walker.
ACATEC Director Linda Blankenship added, “This is quite an honor to be chosen yet again. It shows the reputation our programs have with CTE leadership across the state.”
The CTE Showcase will take place at the Michigan State Capitol Building on April 27, 2017.
