The Transition Center emphasizes community based instruction with a focus on vocational skills and functional academics. This program is designed to strengthen the individual’s ability to safely navigate their communities and to fully participate in family activities such as eating out, shopping and attending community activities. A focus is also placed on vocational skills and exploration as well as functional academics. The goal is to connect students and families with adult service agencies to facilitate their transition to the adult community.
