Cost is $45 per student ($60 max per family). Scholarships available. Transportation provided to and from your local district middle school. PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS:

ALL ABOUT ANIMALS

  • Practice basic veterinary skills (halter, bandaging, first aid anatomy, sterile surgical packs)

  • Learn about products from animals (cheese, butter, ice cream, and eggs)

  • Learn about animal habitats

CAMERA TO ART

  • Learn how to take better pictures with a digital camera

  • Create an artistic, motivational poster using Photoshop techniques

  • Turn your photos into works of art, frame them, and take them home!

  • Digitally color and print your own stickers

CAR CARE/BIG RIG

  • Enjoy two programs in one week

  • Practice with auto technician tools and repair real cars

  • Take the controls and learn how to operate heavy equipment

  • Must wear appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes

CONSTRUCTION JUNCTION

  • Learn tool and shop safety

  • Create and build a project out of wood using handheld and woodworking tools

  • Participants need to wear closed-toe shoes

CULINARY CRAVINGS

  • Learn how to be safe and sanitary in a kitchen

  • Learn how to make tasty food and treats

  • Taste the delicious food that you create in culinary arts

DIAMOND PAINTING 101

  • Learn how to place small 5D resins that sparkle onto a canvas to create a beautiful work of art

  • All you need is time and patience

  • Students will take home their framed mosaic creation and diamond painting kit

HANDS-ON HEROES

  • Learn how to recognize an emergency

  • Learn how to use first aid skills

  • Learn new activities that you could use when babysitting children

INK TO FABRIC

  • Learn how screen-printing is done from image to shirt

  • Bring plain shirts from home to print a design on

  • Create your own custom screen-printed shirt to take home

TITANS OF TECHNOLOGY

  • Learn what is inside your computer and how to put it all together

  • Learn how to use the MIG welder and build a small metal project

  • Program and drive a Sphero RVR robot

  • Create a metal project using machines and a laser engraver

  • Learn the science of fingerprinting

  • Participants must wear pants and closed-toe shoes for welding and machining rotation
