As part of the Early College Allegan County program, students are required to take part in a College Summer Success Bootcamp. They attend the summer before they enter their first semester in the Fall. This is  free with lunch and snacks provided. We use an approved College and Career Readiness Curriculum. We use the Learning Management System they will use as a Lake Michigan College student called Canvas. We show them how to navigate this system, orient them with how to access Lake Michigan College and early college resources, we spend time exploring careers, and also spend the week getting to know their cohort and building supportive relationships.
